Since 1926, St. Anastasia Catholic School has provided the Treasure Coast Community with a well-rounded, safe, and nurturing Catholic environment that seeks to challenge students to grow in their knowledge of the Catholic faith, their relationship with Christ, as well as their desire to learn. We are supervised and guided by our Bishop and Pastor (who are advised by our School Advisory Council) and by the Office of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Palm Beach. We follow the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS) which incorporates (with the direction of experienced Catholic teachers) the NSBECS and the Florida State Standards.
Our teachers are spiritual and academic leaders who prioritize behavioral discipline and personal accountability. We encourage our students to explore their unique interests, venture out with creativity, develop independence, and to ask difficult questions. We recognize that our example and our school routines help to discipline the mind and heart as well as engage our students in Catholic social teachings and service learning that promote an active participation in the needs of our community.
Teachers are leaders in our community and they understand the responsibility of modeling and guiding young people in their personal, spiritual, cognitive, physical, and social development. Students are expected to respect and listen to adults and to actively engage in the learning process.
Our community seeks to balance compliance and disciplined thinking with our students’ need for self expression, self motivation, creativity, and first-hand experience. The faculty, staff, and priests of St. Anastasia cooperate in an interdependent relationship with our families and with the Church to develop graduates who are disciples of Christ, reflective and critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and healthy and balanced children.
